Early identification of hearing loss in infants and appropriate intervention are key.
The goal of this program is that all newborns receive a hearing screening before being dismissed from the hospital or by 10 days of age if born out of a hospital.
Infants that do not pass this first screening should be screened again by 14 days of age.
